2024 State Event Format...qualifying onto Bass National Championship

Post by pabassfn »

As a result of the new format that B.A.S.S. National introduced at the latest National Championship, Pa Bass Nation has changed their qualification format for the 2024 season effective immediately.

The new Pa Bass Nation format will consist of 4 State Tournaments fees for these events will remain the same. Your 3 best finishes will count for your AOY points. This format will be used for both boater and non-boater divisions. At the conclusion of the fourth and final event AOY points will be tallied. The top 4 boater and non-boaters will receive invitations directly to the 2024 B.A.S.S. National Championship. We will work down the list of AOY points if need be to fill these 8 positions. These 8 positions will receive financial compensation from PABN to attend this event.

The Last Chance event has been eliminated. .

Starting in 2024, B.A.S.S. will be hosting 4 regional qualifiers throughout the country. These tournaments will be Open events to only Nation members and will be a capped 250 boat field, each event will be a 3 day format. From each of these events the top 20 boaters and 20 co anglers will move on to the 2024 B.A.S.S. National Championship. You can fish 1 of these events or all 4, you only need to finish in the top 20 at one of them to move on. PABN has been given 10 boater and 10 non-boater priority entries into our regions Open event. These priority entries will be given to the anglers wishing to participate in the event based off the previous years AOY points from 2023. Meaning 5th through 14th place on each side would be offered these priority entries, and if they are not wanted we will move down the list until accepted. This essentially gives you a second chance to qualify for the national championship.

B.A.S.S. Nation has advised each state that the entry fee for these open qualifiers will be 400.00 on the boater side and 200.00 on the co angler side. The payout for these events is TBD as per B.A.S.S. The 2024 National Championship will be a 250 boat field. The dates and location are TBD
